PNP condemns London Bridge attack
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party (PNP), through its spokesman on foreign affairs, Dr Morais Guy says it is saddened by the news of yet another terror attack in London.
In a release issued today, Dr Guy said: “The report that seven persons have been confirmed dead is heartbreaking. Violence and attacks of this nature on humanity anywhere is unacceptable and must be condemned.“We join with the citizens of the United Kingdom and indeed with the rest of the world in denouncing these cowardly attacks.“The United Kingdom is home to a large number of Jamaicans, many of whom maintain strong family connections here in Jamaica, and attacks such as this would naturally provoke anxiety for many families.“We, therefore, call on the government to immediately open all official channels of communications so that we are able to quickly ascertain information on any Jamaican who might be affected by this recent incident.”
