Transport Authority offers amnesty on storage fees for impounded vehicles
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Transport Authority (TA) says it will be granting an amnesty of up to 75 per cent discount on the total storage fees for all vehicles impounded before January 1, 2017.
The amnesty starts on Monday, July 10 and ends on Friday, July 21, the TA said in a release on Friday.
Unclaimed vehicles remaining in the pounds after the amnesty will be auctioned in accordance with section 13 (3)(c) of the Transport Authority Act, the release said.
