Ratingz delivers on vibes
Hard-core dancehall vibes reigned supreme at last Saturday’s staging of Ratingz. The series, which launched late last year, has grown to become one of the must-attend parties on the entertainment calendar.
Held at the Terrace Bar & Grill, Southdale Plaza in Central Avenue, St Andrew, the event attracted a large turnout of patrons.
“The atmosphere was good and the vibes great. Based on the feedback everyone had a good time,” said promoter Tollani Reynolds.
With a cadre of top sounds and selectors providing the musical ambiance including Di Unit, Coppershot, Bishop Escobar and newcomers Rebel Sound, Ratingz enjoyed a good run until the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Reynolds explained how Ratingz has evolved.
“Well ,for the most part we have definitely outgrown out the venue and the crowd came out earlier than the last time. A number of well-known persons came out to support the party including Asafa Powell and singer Denyque,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds expressed his gratitude to patrons and sponsors for their continued support of Ratingz.
“We would like to big up Guinness, Luc Belaire and all the patrons who made the atmosphere a night to remember and the DJs who provided the great music,” he said.
The next staging of Ratingz is scheduled for October 7.
