LUCEA, Hanover — Mid-season champions Super Star YC could secure the first semi-final place in the Hanover Football Association Charley’s JB Rum/Captain’s Bakery and Grill Major League when they face hopefuls Grand Palladium in a cross-zone game at Watson Taylor Park today set to start at 3:30 pm.

Super Star YC and former champions Sandy Bay are tied at the top on 20 points, but the mid-season champions hold the slight advantage on goal-difference and have played nine games, one less that Sandy Bay.

A win today and Super Star YC would ensure they cannot finish the regular season in lower than second place, while Grand Palladium must win if they are to maintain their semi-final pursuit.

Grand Palladium are in fourth place on 17 points with another game to play after today.

Also today, relegation-threatened Jericho Rangers and Logwood United will meet at Orchard playing field with both desperate for three points that would lift them clear of the drop zone.

Both are on six points, same as last-placed Sandals Negril and are only separated by goal-difference.

Tomorrow, Friendship meet Mt Pelier DC at Watson Taylor Park and Hopewell Chargers take on Johnson Town at Orchard.
