Four years after a sold-out performance, clergy, their family, and church workers in the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (Anglican) return to the stage for another Clergy in Concert today at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium, Jamaica College. Showtime is 4:00 pm.

Among the smorgasbord on offer will be the rhythms of the Keys to the Kingdom band, popular love songs, dub poetry, dance, skits, puppets in motion, and great humour as members of the Diocesan family display their rich and varied talents in a show that promises superb entertainment.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the rebuilding fund for the Clifton Boys’ Home, operated by the Anglican Church in Darliston, Westmoreland. The home was destroyed by fire in January and the boys are now temporarily housed in a neighbouring district.

Howard Gregory, bishop of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, and chairman of the concert planning committee, notes that: “The shows provide an opportunity to project another side of clergy and church workers, as we collaborate to raise funds for a vital area of the church’s ministry.”

A second concert will be staged on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Hollis Lynch Auditorium, Church of the Holy Trinity, in Westgate, Montego Bay.
