Soca, dancehall at Mas Camp tonight

DANCEHALL and soca music will take centre stage at Rum Bar Gold Bacchanal & Dancehall at Mas Camp in St Andrew tonight.

Sounds sytem Chromatic, DJ Latern and DJ Cruise are expected to be on show.

“Chromatic is much in demand in the United Kingdom, Miami, Belize, and across the Caribbean, but they are taking time out to be with us here at the Mas Camp. We are looking forward to their performance as they are always able to guage the mood of the crowd and keep them on the floor,” said Nicholas Franklin, a director of Bacchanal Jamaica — event organiser.

Chromatic is known for their innovative mix tapes, including Newmatic, Best of Addi Volume 1-3 and Showtime.

DJ Lantern is a popular choice for Bacchanal Jamaica.

“This Friday Mas Camp patrons can expect a night of non-stop high-energy soca music in true Bacchanal style. It will include a vibrant mix of the new hits for the 2017 Carnival season alongside some of the older favourites,” he said.

Jamaican DJ Cruise, who will also be on stage, is known for his mixes incorporating all the popular genres of dance music. He has special appeal for the young and upcoming partygoers.

Michael Ammar III said the party is aimed at keeping the Mas Camp jumping and to ensure that soca fans get their share of fun during the summer party season.

“Summer is one of the hottest party seasons in Jamaica and soca lovers want to have their music in the mix. Nobody can put on a better soca party than Bacchanal Jamaica, so we are making sure that Mas Camp fans have the opportunity to come out and fete. The dancehall vibe is also important to the energy, so this party will provide the best of both worlds,” he said.
