Shuffling police officers a cop out
Dear Editor,
Performance should be the main criterion for change made in any organisation, much less by the police. If an officer is doing well in a particular post, why move that person? Yes, there might be situations when a person is called to higher order, but when there is such a wholesale movement then the benefits are very little, if any at all.
This latest change of so many officers by Commissioner Quallo was widely anticipated and, while I am prepared to wait for the results, the country might not be able to do so, as the crime situation goes further and further into the abyss of no return.
Again, I will wait, although I know the result.
