Early release on impounded vehicles begins Monday — TA
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Transport Authority (TA) has announced that it will be offering an early release on all vehicles impounded at its facilities starting on Monday, July 24 and ending Friday, August 25.
According to a release from the authority, a discount of up to 75 per cent on the total cost of storage fees will be negotiated in some cases.
However, vehicles currently involved in court cases are exempted from the early release offering.
“Unclaimed vehicles remaining in the pounds after this offering will be auctioned in accordance with section 13 (3)(c) of the Transport Authority Act,” the Transport Authority said.
Individuals desirous of knowing the status of their impounded vehicles are being encouraged to contact the TA’s Operations department at 926-8912, toll free 1-888-991-5687 or visit the nearest TA office.
