PHOTOS: Elaine, Omar, Jaheel and O’Dayne prep for London World Champs
KINGSTON Jamaica — Elaine Thompson, Omar Mcleod, Jahleel Hyde and O’Dayne Richards were out at the London stadium arena this morning making preparations ahead of tomorrow’s start of the IAAF World Championships.
Thompson, who has an automatic spot in London based on being the IAAF Diamond League 100m champion, will only compete in the 100m event.
Meanwhile, McLeod’s winning time of 12.90s in the 110m hurdles at the National Senior Championships at the National Stadium on June 25, secured him a place on Jamaica’s team for the World Championships.
Teammate Jahleel Hyde, the 2016 World U20 400m hurdles champion, will be making his first World Championships appearance in London.
And, O’Dayne Richards who is among the expected medalists for the World Championship will launch his qualification for the men’s shot put final on day two of the games’ events.
