MONTEGO BAY, St James — Cambridge United and Club Ville have qualified for the final of the St James Football Association Guardian Group Division Two competition following contrasting results in their return-leg semi-finals at the UDC field last week.

Cambridge United will start favourites to win after a 5-0 demolition of Iberostar FC in Wednesday’s return-leg semi-final at the UDC field for an 8-1 win on aggregate, while Club Ville completed a 2-0 aggregate win over Rose Mount on Friday.

Both teams have earned promotion to the Division One competition next season.

Damain James scored twice on Wednesday as Cambridge United, who led 3-1 from the first leg played just over a week ago, led 2-0 at half-time before opening the floodgates late on in the return leg.

Iberostar had scored late in the first leg and were hoping the momentum would carry over, but it was James who gave Cambridge United the lead in the 21st minute on Wednesday to increase the aggregate lead.

Obrien Bent made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute as they led 5-1 on aggregate at half-time.

Cambridge United then killed off any hopes of a rally by Iberostar with three goals in a 17-minute span. Larone East scored to make it 3-0 on the day in the 63rd minute, Andre Archer in the 76th, and James completing his double in the 80th minute.

On Thursday Club Ville SC confirmed their place in the final after beating Rose Mount FC 1-0 in their return-leg game for a 2-0 aggregate result.

Warren Rashford scored in the 66th minute for Club Ville SC, who only needed to avoid a loss after they had won the first leg by the same margin.
