Macka high on Tabanka
Macka Diamond is now in New York doing promotions for her latest hit the soca-flavoured Tabanka, featuring Charly Black. She is excited about the response to the single so far.
“The radio is really blowing up for the song in Jamaica and the song has just been added to US stations in Florida, a couple stations in Canada, and I hope that Bobby Konders is going to jump on it. Locally, every top selector ah play it, plus dancers Marvin and Nickesha have been seen in several viral videos getting on real bad to the Tabanka,” she said.
Tabanka is an Eastern Caribbean slang that signifies a state of extreme infatuation for either a female or male.
Macka Diamond, who recently signed a record deal with US-based indie label DMG Music Group, is focused on making good music for her fans.
The song was recorded over the summer while the artiste was on a one-month tour in Trinidad and Tobago. The song is featured on the Full Hundred Riddim and produced by Spine Records.
