Today’s Horoscope – September 4

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Monday, Sept. 4, 2017: This year happiness surrounds you. If you allow more spontaneity into your life, you will experience more highs than lows. Who is not drawn to a sunny, happy personality? If you are single and are willing to allow yourself the freedom to feel more, you will find that your intuition leads you to the right person. Be careful about putting this person on a pedestal, as he or she is likely to fall off. If you are attached, you have a way of letting your sweetie know that you absolutely adore him or her. You often find this person to be exciting, mysterious and special. AQUARIUS has a coldness to him.

ARIES (March 21-April 19) Zero in on your priorities and assess how relevant each one is. Allow others to come to you; they have a lot to share. You might gain unusual insight as a result. Your creativity seems to delight a child, new friend or loved one. Tonight: Stay focused on a present goal.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Be aware that quite a few people are observing your performance. You might not be able to get a personal matter settled, so just focus on work and your daily priorities. A friend could surprise you with his or her insights. Tonight: Be aware of someone’s controlling tendencies.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Take the opportunity to eye the long term and assess where you are heading. You could be overly tired and withdrawn. You might not be as sure of yourself as you’d like to be. Open up to conversations that force you to think and evaluate. Tonight: Break past any limitations.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) : You’ll see a situation differently after you have had an in-depth discussion about the issue at hand. You feel unusually secure with a roommate or family member. You might want more intensity from a particular relationship. Tonight: Be with a favourite person.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22): Others could be challenging. A smile and a kind comment might help someone get past his or her defensiveness. A partner’s comment is likely to force you to revamp your ideas. Share your thoughts. Find out how grounded you are. Tonight: Past endeavours come back in multiples.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept. 22): Focus on the matter at hand, and don’t allow your mind to wander too far. You’ll accomplish a lot with ease. A partner or loved one gives you substantial feedback, which will help you better relate to him or her. Tonight: Listen carefully to what someone else shares.

LIBRA (Sept 23-Oct 22): Your desire to be more creative and dynamic comes through. Others are aware of the attention you give to growth and new ideas. You need to let your childlike side emerge more often. Communication will benefit from openness. Tonight: Hang out with a close friend.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21): You will want to deal with a personal matter and root out the cause. You might be able to get past a problem that often triggers you. Understand what is motivating your reaction. Don’t stand on ceremony if a misunderstanding occurs. Tonight: Happiest close to home.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21): You need to make an effort to reach out to others. Sometimes people see you as solemn, withdrawn or even hostile, when you simply are in a more introverted phase. A meeting will be more important than you realise. Others want your feedback. Tonight: A friend surprises you!

CAPRICORN (Dec 22-Jan 19): Be aware of the costs of proceeding down your present path. You might not realise how much you are spending, but you’ll want to pull back once you do; otherwise, you could cause yourself a problem. A minor snafu at home will prove to be comical. Tonight: Play it low-key.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18):You feel energised, and others notice you. You also exude confidence and happiness. Your ability to understand others determines how you interact with them. Your finances might be strained because of some wild spending. Be careful! Tonight: At a favourite place with friends.

PISCES (Feb 19-March 20): You might want to lie low, no matter what your original plans were for today. You will want special time with a loved one whom you rarely get to see. Don’t hesitate to seize the moment. Lady Luck seems to be riding on your shoulder at the moment. Tonight: Make it an early night.

What is your AI actually costing you? — three ways it is priced now, why the bill creeps, and a two-line test for whether it is paying back
A year ago AI was one US$20 subscription on one credit card. It is now several subscriptions, a per-user licence inside the office suite, and a growing list of things billed by usage that nobody has forecast. Half of the finance leaders in a new US survey say their AI spend went over budget in the past year, and in a second survey only one in five could tie the spend to a result. Here is how the pricing works, where the money leaks, and a plain way to tell whether a tool has earned its renewal.
