Waltham Park Road shooting leaves 2 dead
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 13-year-old boy was among two people shot dead in Mongoose Town off Waltham Park Road in Kingston on Sunday, the police have reported.
The youngster has been identified as Jahime O’Connor of a Waltham Park Road addres, while the other deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Akino Grant, also of Waltham Park Road.
The Hunts Bay police say that O’Conner and Grant were among a group of people at a football game in the community at about 4:08 pm when a Nissan Tiida motor car drove up and one of the occupants opened fire.
Four people were shot in the melee, Grant died on the spot, while the other three were transported to hospital where O’Connor died while being treated and the other two admitted.
The police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stop at 311.
