The art of forming a perfect eyebrow arch has been an envied skill among beauty enthusiasts. The heavily used slang “eyebrows on fleek” was coined by American teenager Peaches Monroee, in a 2014 viral vine video. Since then, it has quickly infiltrated social media and popular culture. Referring to eyebrows groomed to perfection, many persons, including Under The Dryer readers, have sought to epitomise fleeky brows. Understandably, a strong sense of accomplishment ensues, after perfecting the ideal pair of brows seen in popular beauty and DIY tutorials.

The obsession has got so extensive that individuals have opted to completely remove their natural brows in an attempt to create the perfect foundation for their artwork. Beauty experimentalists have gone above and beyond to create the most creative, and in some cases unnatural eyebrow looks, ranging from the arch, pencilled unibrows, and braided, plaited or feathered brows.

But the latest and, dare we suggest, most fascinating trend on social platforms is the Dr Seuss- themed curvy or wavy eyebrows. The cartoon-like beauty trend transforms the natural shape of the brows to wave-like ones. Although the natural form of the eyebrows is almost crescent- shaped, nothing stands in the way for some beauty influencers whose aim is to counteract everything usual.

For UTD readers who are tired of the usual fill, fade in and fade out routine, the wavy eyebrows may be for you — if you are brave or confident enough to sport it, that is!

Tweezers, glue, concealer and eyeliners.

Washable or mild glue to tame the eyebrows in one direction

Concealer, setting powder and pressed powder to hide the natural brows.

Eyeliner, preferably gel-based to create a new wavy-shaped eyebrow with the assistance of pressing powder or, in some cases, concealer.
