RUBiS opens modernised service station in St Ann’s Bay
Petroleum marketing company RUBiS Energy Jamaica opened its newly refurbished service station and C Store in St Ann’s Bay on September 25, saying that it is a part of a larger modernisation project in which the company is investing as it looks to roll out similar facilities across the island.
“RUBiS Energy Jamaica is sticking to our commitment to elevate the safety and standards of our facilities in order to provide improved benefits to our customers,” a company release quotes Chief Executive Officer Alain Carreau. “A modernised service station and C Store provides better and faster services, along with an improved environment for both staff and customers.”
The company explained that the upgraded St Ann’s Bay station has been retrofitted with automatic smart fuel controllers, new fuel pumps, as well as upgraded storage tanks.
“The newly installed double-wall tanks meet all local and international standards for storage of petroleum-based fuel, and as such increases the level of safety and reduces the environmental risks associated with the storage and dispensing of the fuel,” the company stated.
“Customers of the RUBiS St Ann’s Bay service station will also benefit from a refurbished C-Store at the location which now offers a wide variety of products from fuel products to household items. There are also new offerings such as gourmet hot dogs along with other snacks,” the company added.
According to Carreau, the modernisation of the St Ann’s Bay station is a reflection of RUBiS’ dedication to the parish of St Ann becoming a part of the global market.
“By equipping the parish with a service station that has this kind of new technology, it shows that we are intent on developing St Ann into a parish with international appeal and influence,” the release quotes Carreau.
RUBiS pointed out that it manages a network of service stations across Jamaica, serving retail customers of all demographic segments and is committed to enhancing its offerings and improving standards. In addition, RUBiS also supplies its ultra-tec fuels and chemicals to the commercial and industrial segments.
At the grand opening of the St Ann’s Bay station, the company’s focus on community development was brought to the fore with Carreau presenting a printer to St Ann’s Bay Primary School, which was represented by Principal Trevor Cole.
“We are committed to playing our part in the continued development of the communities, not only by upgrading the stations in their area, but we are also driven to assist in their holistic development,” Carreau said.
