‘Butch’ Stewart and Sandals working to restore hurricane-hit Caribbean

GORDON ‘Butch’ Stewart and his Sandals team have stepped on the gas to reassure North American vacationers that the beauty of the Caribbean still beckons after hurricanes Irma and Maria. The resort chain’s 21-city, 41-day promotional show titled ‘Sandals Overdrive’, rolled into Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale in Florida last Thursday, filling the upscale Diplomat Hotel with travel agents and tourism officials for the typical high-energy performance. Jamaica Observer senior photographer Joseph Wellington aimed his camera at the highlights.
