After a one-year hiatus, patrons came out in their numbers to see Tanya Stephens at the Appleton Estate Signature Nights series held at Macau in Kingston recently.

The inclement weather was not a deterrent to the music lovers who were eager to enjoy the performance.

Among the singer’s opening songs were Handle the Ride, which saw audience dancing outside their seats and singing along. She segued into Boom Wuk and Can’t Breathe, which were well received.

Her other tracks included After You, We Can Do Dat, These Streets, and Tek Him Back.

Stephenson closed her near two-hour set with It’s a Pity.

The singer lauded Appleton Estate on the Signature Nights series.

“I really like what you’re doing here! I appreciate being invited to a nice, small setting to sing,” she said.

Leleika-Dee Barnes, customer marketing manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited, was pleased with Stephenson’s performance:

“It was an excellent staging of Appleton Estate Signature Nights. Tanya Stephens was well worth the wait as she went above and beyond expectations to deliver an incredible performance. It was a pleasure for us to see our patrons out in their numbers despite the weather, enjoying a night specially curated for them with the best in music and Jamaican rum,” she said.

With two stops left, the Appleton Estate Signature Night series will bring Oceans 11 in Ocho Rios to life on Thursday, November 23, featuring a live performance from reggae veteran Freddie McGregor.
