Harbour View to sport line by UK-based Fitness For Life
Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) outfit Harbour View Football Club (HVFC) has signed a one-year leisure clothing contract with Fitness For Life (FFL) Limited UK, a brand out of London.
The deal will see the “Stars of the East” sporting branded uniform, grey hooded tracksuits, grey snapback caps, baseball caps for coaching staff and managers, men’s and women’s blue and black Warren’s slim-fitting tracksuits, as well as jerseys and T-shirts developed by FFL.
The company’s principal, Jamaican-born Jermaine Young, said that the exclusive purpose of the sponsorship is to establish, build and promote the FFL leisure clothing line with HVFC.
“I think with the reputation HVFC has in being a pioneer and a mover and shaker in the Jamaica’s football, it would be sort of a good fit to partner with them. They are sort of a modern club. I think that they are the only club to have the facility to actually stream games and so it tied us with what we believe in, which is good- quality product.
“With Harbour View’s philosophy, as well as always looking to pioneer new ideas and new thoughts, we think it’s fitting for us in terms of our clothing company (as) we try to be different from the rest. Everything we create is created to give a custom fit,” Young told the Jamaica Observer.
He said that he believes the deal will be a success for bothHVFC and FFL.
“Well, I am hoping that with HVFC’s fan base and reach, it would sort of be able to get our product’s name out there a little bit, while enhancing the image of HVFC as well to our brand,” Young noted.
The monetary value of the arrangement was not disclosed.
“We keep that confidential at the moment,” he said.
