Holland book Trelawny FA KO final spot
CLARKS TOWN, Trelawny — Holland United are the first finalists in the Trelawny Football Association’s Victor Wright Knockout after edging last season’s beaten finalists Clarks Town 1-0 in their semi-final at Cedric Titus High on Sunday.
Malik Stephens’ second-minute goal was the difference for Holland United, who will now await the winner of the other semi-final between defending champions Cooper’s Pen and Harmony FC, which was blown off in the 62nd minute due to a waterlogged field when Harmony FC lead 2-1.
The game will resume on Saturday, December 23, at 3:30 pm at Bounty Hall.
Harmony FC had come back from a goal down with two goals in a four-minute span early in the second half.
Javon Johnson scored to give Coopers Pen the lead in the 28th minute, before Shaquelle Reid equalised in the 53rd minute and Lacon Brissett gave them the lead in the 57th minute.
