Man who ‘hammered’ girlfriend to death gets 15 years
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A year after Phillip Brown was charged for cracking his girlfriend’s skull with a hammer he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years.
Brown who took advantage of sentence reduction day by pleading guilty to killing his pregnant girlfriend at their Crystal Towers Apartment in Kingston on October in hopes of getting a maximum 50 per cent reduction in his sentence.
Brown admitted to beating 31-year-old Kerry-Ann Wilson to death before wrapping her body in a tarpaulin on December 10, 2016.
