15-y-o girl shot dead in Seaview Gardens
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A 15-year-old girl was shot dead at her home in Seaview Gardens, St Andrew this afternoon.
Unconfirmed reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE, are that the teen, Denise Hume, was at home with her mother, two sisters and a man, who residents allege is the teen’s boyfriend.
It was further reported that the man, who is said to be 26 years old, left the house when he received a message, supposedly from Denise, stating that their companionship was through.
He subsequently returned to the house and shot the teen in her head, according to reports. The incident happened about 2:50 pm.
She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
When contacted, the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force told OBSERVER ONLINE that investigators were still on the scene and as such it could not provide further information.
