JCA celebrates Customs Week
The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) will kick-start its annual Customs Week celebrations from January 21-26, 2018, under the theme: ‘A Secure Business Environment for National Development’. International Customs Day will be celebrated on Friday, January 26.
The staff will begin the week of activities in praise, at church services to be held in Kingston, St Ann and Montego Bay on Sunday, January 21, 2018.
Other activities will include recognition of staff, a visit to the Montego Bay Infirmary, the publishing of supplements and customer appreciation activities at select locations, including the two international airports.
The flagship initiative for the week, the Customs Traders Forum, will also be launched on International Customs Day.
The launch is a strategic initiative that will be spearheaded by the agency in the 2018/19 financial year. The initiative is geared towards producing more improved medium- and long-term productivity, efficiency and effectiveness within the trade environment in Jamaica.
