Boulders falling in Bog Walk Gorge, NWA urges caution
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the public to exercise extreme caution while traversing the Bog Walk Gorge at this time, as boulders are falling on to the roadway.
NWA, in a release a short while ago, said a team is now mobilising to remove one such boulder, which fell on the road this morning.
Manager, communication and customer services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw said the agency has noted the occurrence of rock fall along the corridor since last Friday and has been monitoring the situation.
He also urged users of the Bog Walk Gorge to remain vigilant in order to minimise the risks while using the corridor.
