Better late than never, JLP
Dear Editor,
We know that the Jamaica Labour Party is consumed with national governance and its own internal troubles, but on July 8, 2018 the party turned 75, which is the diamond jubilee year, and there has not been so much as a mention anywhere of this. Or have I not been looking keenly enough? Shame, shame, shame.
Sir Alexander Bustamante is not happy. Such a significant year ought not to go unnoticed.
I urge the Jamaica Labour Party to do something about this. I don’t know, maybe a public lecture, but some sort of commemoration of that momentous event must be observed.
Yes, it should have been done on July 8, but you know the old adage: Better late than never.
