St Catherine man gets life for quadruple murder in Linstead
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A vendor of Gillette Street, Linstead in St Catherine, 37-year-old Simeon Miller, was last Friday sentenced in the Home Circuit Court to life imprisonment for the murder of four people in Mickleton district in the parish on August 20, 2014.
Miller was sentenced to life imprisonment on each of the four counts and will not be eligible for parole before 35 years.
According to the St Catherine police, Miller was among a group of men which went to Venecia Road in the community and fatally shot Shanna-Kay Simpson and Garfield Simpson.
The men then moved to a grocery shop in another section of the community where they robbed patrons of cash and other properties.
Twenty-five-year-old Ricodell Jackson and 43-year-old Dean Pratt who was driving his motor car along the roadway were also shot dead.
