24-year-old St Andrew man dies in Negril vehicular collision

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Twenty -four-year-old Marcus Barnes of a St Andrew (Mount Salus) address was killed early this morning as a result of a motor vehicle collision on Norman Manley Boulevard (NMB) in Negril, Westmoreland.

OBSERVER ONLINE was just informed by a spokesperson for the Westmoreland police that preliminary reports suggest that the driver of a BMW motor car attempted to overtake another vehicle on the NMB and collided with the motorcycle driven by Barnes.

The young man was rushed to hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.

The Westmoreland police are investigating.
