Prime Minister Andrew Holness confirmed Sunday night that the ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is not in an election mode, despite the presentation of new candidates over the past two weeks.

Amnesty International says it will on Friday unveil a mural on Orange Street in downtown Kingston in honour of Jamaican women fighting for justice for family members allegedly killed by police.
6. Science and technology ministry on autopilot with retirement of PS — Robinson
People’s National Party (PNP) spokesman Julian Robinson, says with the departure of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Technology, Hillary Alexander, the ministry is on autopilot and the Opposition will not tolerate the ‘laissez faire’ attitude of Prime Minister Andrew Holness in ensuring that accountability systems are in place.
7. Reggae Boyz rally to 2-2 draw against Barbados
Jamaica came from two goals down at half time to earn a well-deserved 2-2 result against Barbados here at the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Wildey Turf on Monday night.
8. Bus service for students to be expanded
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information has committed $380 million for the roll-out of the Expanded Pilot Rural Transportation Project for the 2018/19 academic year.
