Curfew imposed in Park, 100 Lane
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have imposed a curfew in Park Lane and 100 Lane off Red Hills Road in the St Andrew following the murder of a woman in the community last evening.
The deceased — 37-year-old Hasia Fowles, a nail technician from the 100 Lane community — was reportedly sitting by the roadway with friends when a silver motor car drove up and the occupants opened fire hitting her several times.
She was pronounced dead at hospital.
The police said a curfew began in the area at 6:00 pm today and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Friday. The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH: Intersection of Red Hills Road and Pennant Terrace to the intersection of Pennant Drive and Pennant Terrace.
SOUTH: Intersection of Whitehall Avenue and Red Hills Road to the intersection of Whitehall Avenue and Pennant Drive.
EAST: Intersection of Whitehall Avenue and Pennant Drive to the intersection of Pennant Drive and Pennant Terrace.
WEST: Intersection of Whitehall Avenue ans Red Hills Road to the intersection of Red Hills Road and Pennant Terrace.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the ground commander.
