Seychella brings ‘villa’ experience to St Mary
ST MARY, Jamaica—Seychella Beach Society returned to East Beach in St Mary on Saturday, August 15, drawing approximately 1,200 patrons for a day of music, beach culture and immersive brand experiences.
Held under the theme “The Beach Becomes the Villa,” this year’s staging drew inspiration from the social energy and aesthetic of Love Island, transforming East Beach into Seychella’s own interpretation of the popular villa concept.
Brand partnerships formed an integral part of the experience, with activations designed to complement the beach setting while giving patrons interactive ways to engage with the event.
WATA helped patrons stay cool with a dedicated cold rag station, while complimentary bottles of water were distributed at the entrance to encourage hydration throughout the day.
Pepsi also tapped into the event’s Love Island inspiration with its own take on the show’s recognisable photo booth. Patrons were able to capture moments from the event and receive physical photo prints, giving them a tangible keepsake from the experience.
Official spirit partner RumStripe added to the festivities with its range of flavours, further aligning the brand with Jamaica’s beach and entertainment culture.
For the organisers, the staging represented another step in the evolution of the Seychella brand, which continues to build a loyal following while attracting new patrons.
Jhe’Vonté Webster, chief executive officer of Seychella Entertainment Limited, said the team remains focused on creating experiences that extend beyond a single day of entertainment.
“Seychella has always been about creating experiences that people genuinely want to be a part of and, more importantly, remember,” Webster said. “Seeing patrons come together and watching our partners bring the concept to life in their own unique ways was incredibly rewarding.”
He said the team is already looking ahead to the next chapter of the brand, with Seychella Winter Garden scheduled for Christmas 2026.
“We’re focused on continuing to evolve the experience with each staging,” Webster said, “and we’re already looking ahead to Seychella Winter Garden this Christmas, where we plan to take that same energy into an entirely new setting and create another unforgettable experience for our community.”
The Christmas staging will introduce Seychella to a new setting while maintaining the immersive, community-focused approach that has become central to the event.
For now, the successful return to East Beach signals continued momentum for Seychella as it seeks to establish itself as a distinctive fixture on Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.
