Major traffic changes along Constant Spring Road tomorrow
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Works Agency (NWA) says it will tomorrow implement further traffic changes along Constant Spring Road in St Andrew.
Effective 6:00 am tomorrow, the section of Constant Spring Road, between Cassava Piece Road and Mary Brown’s Corner will be converted to a one way corridor. The corridor will take traffic heading from the direction of Manor Park towards Half Way Tree.
NWA Manager, Communication and Customer Services, Stephen Shaw in a release this morning said that this one way system will be in effect from 6:00 am to 9:00 am on weekdays.
Resulting from the implementation of this change, motorists heading north towards Manor Park will be rerouted along Cassava Piece Road. Cassava Piece Road will also be converted to one way, between 6:00 am and 9:00 am weekdays.
Motorists may also use the road through Constant Spring Grove onto Saxthorpe Avenue to access some sections of Constant Spring Road, including the two major financial institutions along the corridor.
Shaw said the change will be in effect for two weeks in the first instance in order to allow for the contractors to complete some crucial underground work.
