Repeated Constant Spring pipeline breaks affecting Corporate Area residents
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that it has been forced to shut down operations at the Constant Spring Water Treatment Plant resulting from a break on the 21-inch transmission pipeline.
This is latest in a string of breaks over the past two weeks; however the NWC did not disclose today’s cause.
Areas affected include Valentine Gardens, Red Hills Road, Molynes Road, Constant Spring Road, Havendale, Half Way Tree, Lady Musgrave, Whitehall Gardens, Eastwood Park Gardens, Hughenden, Grants Pen, Manor Park, Shortwood, Cross Roads, Camperdown, Manning’s Hill Road, Arlene Gardens, Roehampton, Calabar Mews, Zaidie Gardens, State Gardens, and Washington Boulevard.
The NWC says it is working to have regular service restored on or before 6:00 o’clock today.
