Utan Green aims for spotlight
Utan Green, the easy-going Rastafari entertainer who came to national attention in 1993 with the hit single, Can’t Take , on the Shocking Vibes Label, is currently enjoying much attention with his hot new single How We Flow .
The song that was produced by Wayne Gordon on the Hypa Flex rhythm for the New York Entertainment Movement label is a departure from Green’s typical roots and culture style.
“This is my first dancehall single, and it’s doing very well I’m getting a lot of positive feedback about it from my fans. Many people including the radio DJs were surprised because they never heard me on an up-tempo dancehall beat before, but it’s a good song, and the people love it,” said Green.
How We Flow, which is now available on all major online music platforms, preceeds an album which Green is currently recording.
The project, which will be his fourth studio album, will feature an all-star cast of musicians including Sly and Robbie, Lenky Marsden, Winta James, Mikey Fletcher, George “Dusty” Miller, and Winston “Bo Pee” Bowen.
“I’m putting a lot of work into this project, I’ve recorded some excellent songs so far, I just have a few more to go before the album is completed. It’s going to be an exceptional project. My fans are going to love it,” said the artiste.
Utan Green launched his recording career in 1989 with I’ll Be There. Some of his other hits are No Looking Back, No Stopping Now, There’s Victory, and Man of Love.
