Man throws gun over wall, flees cops
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A team of officers assigned to the Kingston Eastern Police Division seized one firearm and 12 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Chavez Avenue, Kingston 3 on Tuesday.
Reports are that about 7:45 pm, lawmen were in the area when they saw a man who aroused their suspicion.
It is said that after seeing the police, the man threw an object over a wall onto a premises and ran.
The object was retrieved and closer examination revealed one 9mm Smith and Wesson Springfield pistol with a magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition, the police said.
The man escaped.
