Weekly Round-up: Stolen baby found…$500K reward for info on MP’s murder … Windies recalls Gayle

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A baby boy was on Friday reunited with his family precisely one month after he was snatched from his mother’s bed at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston.

He was found on Tuesday when a woman believed to be his abductor attempted to register him at the Registrar General’s Department in Twickenham Park, St Catherine.

A subsequent DNA test confirmed his identity.

In other news, , the People’s National Party is offering a $500,000 reward through Crime Stop for information leading to the apprehension of the culprit(s) involved in the murder of Portland Eastern Member of Parliament, Dr Lynvale Bloomfield.

In sport, the West Indies on Thursday recalled veteran batsman Chris Gayle for the first two one-day internationals against England in preparation for this year’s World Cup..
