Kia is one of the world’s largest and most innovative automotive brands and boasts an incredible product range. Since 2015, the South Korean brand has successfully sold more than 3.3 million vehicles as of the year 2015. Kia cars, SUVs and commercial trucks have proven to be fuel-efficient, big on safety and reliability and offer arguably the best value for money in the automotive industry.

In Jamaica, the Kia brand has been standing strong under the ATL Automotive umbrella since the group took over its operations in March of 2018 with the creation of a subdivision called ATL Tiger Motors.

Senior sales executive Delando Thorpe shared that there is a Kia model for every personality and every price point, and top-selling domestic models such as the Sportage, Rio, Sorento and Picanto are testament that Kia has undoubtedly made its way into the hearts and homes of Jamaicans.

The brand has also increased its presence in the commercial space with fleet packages serving groups such as the Jamaica Constabulary Force, National Bakery, Avis Car Rentals, Enterprise Car Rentals and Carreras Limited.

Head of Business for ATL Tiger Motors Christopher DaCosta noted: “The evolution of Kia has been something to admire especially with how dynamic it’s become over the past few years, having evolved with design, featured specs, safety features and constant additions.”

He also stated: “It’s hard to imagine an automotive world without one of the best-selling brands in the world.”

DaCosta has been with the ATL Automotive Group for 20 years and has been the head of business for Kia since the group acquired the brand. Though his personal favourite is the seven-seater Kia Sorento SUV, DaCosta believes in and stands behind every model that enters the showrooms and promises style, class and value for money with every Kia that is sold.
