NARCOS rocks Ocho Rios
Last Saturday’s staging of NARCOS: The Ballers & Divas Episode attracted a massive crowd at the Ocean Village Parking Lot in Ocho Rios, St Ann. Patrons enjoyed high-powered performances and intense musical juggling.
“This, our first staging of NARCOS, was very successful. The feedback from patrons online and in the street is that we delivered everything that we promised, which was a great entertainment experience and high-quality production,” said Travis Graham, spokesperson for M.O.T. Events, promoters of the event.
“Patrons were impressed with the overall production of the event, the layout and décor, as well as the easy access to bars and smooth entry into the venue. The highlight of the event was the entertainment package and the top brass selectors that kept patrons dancing all night,” he continued.
High-riding Teejay, with hits including Up Top Boss and Owna Lane; Munga Honorebel with Nah Mad Ova No Gal; Deep Jahi and Shakespear, had patrons on a musical high.
Disc jocks and selectors, including DJ Brammaz, Rolexx, Wurl Fresh, DJ Ashile, and Bishop Escobar represented on the musical wheels of steel engaging patrons with their musical selections.
“We are grateful to have had a crowd of almost 2,000 patrons, when we were anticipating about 1,500. We also got some support from persons outside of the parish and we’re really happy for the support,” said Graham.
The first staging of NARCOS has encouraged the promoters to stage another event during the summer.
“We have a long-term plan to provide quality entertainment and party experiences island- wide going forward. Our next event will be our pre-summer beach party to be held again in Ocho Rios in June. We are presently engaging potential partners and sponsors who share our vision for the production of unique and high quality Jamaican entertainment for the execution of our upcoming events,” said Graham.
There are also plans to launch an islandwide Reggae Party Tour Live Series.
“We intend to invest heavily in Jamaica’s entertainment landscape and provide quality entertainment experiences to local and international consumers of our reggae and dancehall culture,” Graham added.
