Woman held with one round of ammo in Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A woman was yesterday arrested after police officers reportedly found a single round of ammunition in her possession.
This was the sole arrest in a near three-hour operation yesterday in downtown Kingston, where lawmen seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition.
The woman, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was reportedly found with the 9mm round on Tower Street.
Meanwhile, one .45 pistol containing four rounds of ammunition was found during the search of a premises on Water Street and one Taurus Magnum pistol along with six .357 rounds of ammunition was seized on Charlotte Street.
The operation was conducted between the hours of 11:40 am and 2:30 pm, CCU said.
