Spalding bus owner/operator, Jermin Reid, who was recently at the centre of a conflict with the police, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Manchester Parish Court yesterday.

6. Firearm holder kills 3 would-be robbers in Portmore

The police are reporting that a licensed firearm holder fatally shot three men during an attempted a robbery at his home in Portmore, St Catherine last night.

7. Tour bus operator shot dead in Westmoreland

The Negril police are probing the death of a tour bus operator who was shot dead on the Whitehall main road in Westmoreland.

8. $100m allocated to assist Monymusk workers

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries says starting tomorrow it will be providing assistance to factory workers at the Monymusk Sugar Estate in Clarendon in the wake of the current closure of the factory.

9. Uchence Wilson trial: Ex-gangster gives reason for becoming police informant

A former member of the Uchence Wilson gang this morning told the court that his decision to give the police information about the gang’s activities was because he was bothered by the slate of violent robberies being carried out its members.

10. J’cans urged to protect themselves against cyberattacks

Minister of Science, Energy and Technology Fayval Williams is calling on Jamaicans to educate themselves in cybersecurity measures to protect their information from cyberattacks.
