Traffic changes for the 7th staging of the Kingston City Run
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are advising the public that several traffic changes will be implemented to facilitate the 7th staging of the Kingston City Run on Sunday at the Emancipation Park, New Kingston.
The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the hours of 2:00 am and 10:00 am.
• Knutsford Boulevard
Knutsford Boulevard between Oxford Road and Trafalgar Road and all roads leading off will be closed to vehicular traffic. This measure is to facilitate, the setting up of the starting point and the subsequent start of the race at 4:30 am, in front of the Courtleigh Hotel.
Guests and workers of the Pegasus, Marriott, Courtleigh and Liguanea Club will be allowed access from Oxford Road end only.
Knutsford Boulevard between Trafalgar Road and Oxford Road closurewill remain in place to facilitate the return of the long distance runners as also the finish of the 5K.
• Trafalgar Road
Trafalgar Road between Lady Musgrave Road and Hope Road and all roads leading off.
• Hope Road
Hope Road between Winchester Avenue and Hopefield Avenue.
Traffic travelling along Hope Road from Half Way Tree toward Papine will divert onto Winchester Avenue while traffic travelling from the opposite direction destined for Half Way Tree will divert along Hopefield Avenue.
• East Kings House Road
East Kings House Road between Hope Road and Paddington Terrace.
Vehicles travelling along East Kings House Road intending to turn left onto Paddington Terrace will not be allowed.
• Lady Musgrave Road
Lady Musgrave Road between Hope Road to Seaview Avenue and again between Montrose Avenue to Trafalgar Road.
Vehicles travelling from Seaview Avenue will divert along Montrose Avenue and vehicles travelling along Montrose Avenue will divert along Seaview Avenue.
• Ardenne Road
Ardenne Road between Hope Road and Lord Nelson Road.
