Barita backs Chess Rapid Tournament
Barita Investments Limited has provided its support to the second staging of the exciting Rapid Chess Tournament that is held annually at The University of the West Indies.
The Barita Chess Open will take place on April 27, 2019 at The University of the West Indies and will feature top chess Masters, including National Champion Shreyas Smith and National Junior Champion Malik Curriah.
Play will take place with 20 minutes given to each player to complete the game, along with five-second increments given after each move. The event is organised by MR Games who welcomes Barita as the headline sponsor, and whose vision for promoting strategic thinking and calculated decision making skills among youth aligns with the aspiring goals of the tournament. The tournament is also sponsored by Ramsay Smith law firm.
