Spanish Town Road pipeline repairs completed — NWC
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) says that water supply distribution has now been restarted for most areas along the Spanish Town Road network in St Andrew.
However, the NWC says that there is a localised leak affecting the Cooreville Gardens community which will take several hours for completion of the necessary repairs.
Motorists are also being to apply due caution as they approach the Six Miles area
The NWC said that over the past 24 hours it undertook several repairs along sections of the 33-inch transmission main that runs along Spanish Town Road and supplies several communities along that thoroughfare as well as the Industrial Belt along Marcus Garvey Drive.
Given the period of outage, it said customers will see a gradual return to normal pressures as the supply lines recharge.
Areas now being restored are Marcus Garvey Drive, Spanish Town Road and all roads leading off, and sections of Washington Gardens.
