Child’s body found in Sterling Castle Heights, St Andrew
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The police have confirmed that the body of a child was found in Blue Hole, Sterling Castle Heights in St Andrew today.
The police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said information surrounding the discovery of the body is unavailable at this time, however, the body was found by search parties looking for eight-year-old Shante Skyers, a student of Sterling Castle Heights, who has been missing since last Thursday.
Investigations will now be carried out to identify the body, the CCU said.
Shante who is said to be of dark complexion, slim build and about 3 feet 8 inches, tall left home for school and has not been seen or heard from since.
When last seen she was dressed in her school uniform — a navy blue tunic, white blouse and black shoes.
