APOLOGY
In an opinion piece published in the Sunday Observer on April 28, 2019 entitled “Of Seaga’s Scandals, Higgins, Phillips and the PNP”, Mr Garfield Higgins was described by the writer of the article as “the JLP’s paid propagandist”. In addition, it was stated in the article that Mr Higgins celebrated a partial court victory over teachers. It has come to the attention of Jamaica Observer Limited that Mr Higgins is neither a propagandist nor paid by the JLP and further that Mr Higgins was involved in a court dispute with the Board of Tarrant High School and not its teachers, contrary to what was stated in the article. Jamaica Observer Limited unreservedly apologises to Mr Higgins for the publication of the unfounded statements.
