MONTEGO BAY, St James — Fontana Pharmacy, a leading supplier in Jamaica of beauty and wellness products, has increased its support and sponsorship of the Jamaica International Beauty Expo, set for June 28 to 30 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Rose Hall, St James.

The company has now taken on the reigns as title sponsor for the expo, following a successful inaugural year which saw the expo attracting over 60 exhibitors and 4,000 attendees over the three-day period.

“The Jamaica International Beauty Expo is a big deal for us, as a leading distributor and supplier of beauty products, the expo proved to be an important outlet for us. We see this industry as more than just foundation or mascara, but as a key area for growth in Jamaica. The expo was also beneficial in allowing us to connect with our clients from across Jamaica and more so western Jamaica, providing a space for them to experience more of the services and products we have to offer”, Fontana Pharmacy’s beauty officer Daina Dyer explained.

“Another important element for us is that we take pride in having a variety of local brands and providing support to them. Through the expo we were able to highlight small and lesser known brands that would not necessarily be able to take on the expo on their own. This year, in addition to showcasing its beauty, and wellness products and services, Fontana Pharmacy’s team members from its Cosmetics Department, will be providing demonstrations on the use of many products, as well as exciting activities and giveaways.

Other industry players are also in preparation mode for the Jamaica International Beauty Expo, where businesses, large and small, will meet, network, educate and connect with consumers of beauty; giving them the opportunity to engage on the largest platform of its type in Jamaica in this multi-billion-dollar industry.

The expo will feature some of the best in hair, nails, make-up, fashion and wellness, locally and internationally. There will also be presentations targeting capacity building and industry growth, developing markets and products that Jamaican manufacturers are strategically poised to take full advantage.

Following on last year’s vibrant expo floor, exhibitors are promising patrons the best deals on goods and services at the marketplace for the duration of the expo, which will also feature more launches of new products by enterprising Jamaicans.

This year will also see exhibitors from the United States and a Canadian team of barbers and stylists conducting seminars and workshops for best practices and building revenue streams.
