Phase 3 throws support behind first-ever Concacaf Gold Cup in Jamaica
The first-ever Concacaf Gold Cup Match in the English-speaking Caribbean will be hosted by the Jamaica Football Federation.
While the Gold Cup Tournament runs from June 15 to July 7, 2019, Jamaica’s Group Stage kicks off on Monday, June 17 with a double-header at National Stadium. The first match set for kick-off at 6:00pm will see Curacao versus El Salvador. The second at 8:00 pm will see Jamaica square off against the group’s seeded team Honduras in front of a home crowd.
Pioneering local multimedia and television production company, Phase Three Productions, is providing technical and logistical support and will manage the broadcast operations in Kingston. This 27-camera coverage event will be televised via satellite and live stream to several leading broadcasters, including Univision, Fox Sports and Televisa.
As Delano Forbes, CEO of the 35-year-old Phase Three Production Ltd, explains, “This is a huge moment for sport in Jamaica and for expanding the technical expertise of the local production crews.” Forbes continued, “our local crews will be working alongside Mexican producers and engineers who produce over 200 football games per year in their country. In addition, the Jamaican crews will benefit from working with a European production team with several World Cup and UEFA championships under their belt.”
Phase Three has debuted many firsts, with the pending Gold Cup match another notch in its belt of ground-breaking executions. The world-class, full-service television and multimedia production company specialises in multi-camera, high-definition coverage of sports and entertainment events for live broadcast via television or Internet.
With the past successes of Jamaica’s Gold Cup performance, when the team made it to the finals in 2015 and 2017, Concacaf felt it fitting for Jamaica to be awarded one of the group stage matches. This fits perfectly with plans of the Government of Jamaica to upgrade National Stadium to attract more international events at this level.
Meanwhile, the local organising committee for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Group C matches to be played at Jamaica’s National Stadium on June 17 has advised that ticket prices will be as follows:
Grandstand Premium will be $7,000, Grandstand General will be $6,000 and Bleachers will be $1,500.
Tickets can be accessed now on www.caribtix.com/goldcup and in outlets as of June 7, 2019.
