Dear Editor,

Recently a news clip circulated on social media networks regarding students attending my school and in my grade. The incident report was misleading and false information was given to the public which can damage the reputation of the institution and cause low self-esteem in some of our students who are not confident about themselves.

In our library class, we learnt about investigative journalism, and my classmates and I are wondering why today’s journalists choose to write or give out false information.

I believe that a public apology should be given to the school and the principal. Also, these media houses should be sued. What kind of example are they setting for us as young children?

The work environment constantly blames schools for not producing quality workers, but take a look at what we, as students, have as role models.

Is it that we want our business to thrive so much we have to lie?
