TWELVE horses representing a full house have been nominated to contest an Overnight Allowance offering, the highest-rated event on tomorrow’s 10-race card at Caymanas Park.

The distance of the race is nine furlongs and 25 yards and it features a wide age group of competitors ranging from the young – three-year-olds to the old – nine-year-olds.

Choosing a winner is not easy but the Supreme Racing Guide makes the attempt to analyse all 12 runners in post-position order.

1. Royal Vibes: (9-y-o b. g – Royal Minister – November Lace) — The oldest in the line-up who is still quite competitive despite his age. Royal Vibes maybe handicapped in this Overnight encounter by the number one draw as he is always behind in his races and manoeuvring from his post-position is not going to be easy. Yet, as is always the case, Royal Vibes is going to give of his best but a minor share is probably the best he can hope for against these.

2. Bruce Wayne: (5-y-o b. g – Nuclear Wayne – Xpress Card) — Consistent sort who just does not know how to run a bad race. Bruce Wayne finished ahead of many he is racing against tomorrow when last at the track on May 23 and that order of finish is not expected to change when they compete against each other tomorrow. The journey is ideal and with the present good form he is in, Bruce Wayne should be a part of the exacta.

3. I Am Di One: (3-y-o dkb. f – Adore The Gold – It Is I) — Races outside of her age group for the first time and finds herself competing against hard-knocking and battle worn rivals. I Am Di One, racing for only the second time in her career, achieved Classic success when she won the 1000 Guineas run over a mile on April 13 for three-year-old fillies only. Then it was time for another Classic event, the Jamaica Oaks (10 furlongs) again against age group fillies on May 4, when I Am Di One faltered a bit in the last furlong-and-a-half ending in third place behind Princess Annie and Princess Ava. This race is probably being used by the connections of I Am Di One to assess her chances of being competitive in the Jamaica Derby (12 furlongs) later this month. A tough contest but her class might just prevail.

4. Secret Traveller: (5-y-o b. g – Traditional – Sea Traveller) — Has been racing very often of late but has been showing a noticeable dip in form. Secret Traveller can spring a surprise at any time especially if he comes onto the track in a good frame of mind. He cannot be left out of calculations especially for a minor share of the purse.

5. Jacko Links: (4-y-o dbk. c – Distorted – Verify) — Won on last and now steps up to a higher grade. Jacko Links is known to have his niggling issues and may need time to catch the pace of Overnight.

6. Jamai Raja: (6-y-o ch. g – Market Rally – Angela’s Favorite) — Has not shown any real form of late and that trend seems likely to continue.

7. Anna Lisa: (4-y-o b. f – Adore The Gold – Anna) — Did not do too bad when racing in Overnight for the first time on May 23. Then Anna Lisa finished fifth behind Saratoga Sight, Bruce Wayne and Royal Vibes but is still going to find these difficult to handle.

8. Francia’s Pride: (6-y-o b. m – Seeking The Glory – Tiffin) — Not in good nick at the moment.

9. Uncle Vinnie: (5-y-o dkb. h – Bridled Quest – Kathythetraina) — Has been slowly but surely coming to grips with Overnight. Uncle Vinnie is a tough competitor who can never be left out.

10. Nuclear Lava: (4-y-o ch. f – Nuclear Wayne – Molten Lava) — Racing at this level for the first time and although packing some talent, is going to find it difficult against these on the initial attempt.

11.n Dontae: (5-y-o b. h – Fearless Vision – Eighteen Karat ) — Racing for the first time since October 15, 2018, and although he has talent, Dontae is going to need time to catch on.

12. Pakman: (5-y-o b. g – Taqarub – Lady Jagrati )— Completely out of form and is not going to be a factor in this one.
