Reggae Girlz lead Cuba 5-0 at half time in Olympic qualifiers

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s senior Reggae Girlz are all set for a convincing opening victory in the Concacaf Women’s Olympic Caribbean Qualifying campaign, as they lead Cuba 5-0 at half time in their Group B fixture at the National Stadium.

Cheyna Matthews is the headliner of Girlz effort so far, with a brace in 20th and 31st minutes, while Deneisha Blackwood (4th), Trud Carter (14th) and Tiffany Cameron (38th) got the others.

Earlier, Barbados came from behind to edge St Lucia 3-2 in the curtain raiser.

Only the group winner will advance to the final round, where they will meet United States, Mexico, Canada and others, to vie for the top two spots to represent Concacaf at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokoyo.
