#Doha2019: Salmon advances to women’s 400 metres hurdles semis on persona best
Jamaica’s Shiann Salmon ran a personal best in Heat One of the preliminary round of the women’s 400 metres hurdles at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday to advance to the semi-finals of the event.
Salmon, despite doing her best time and running in lane nine, looked easy to finish third in the heat, which was won by Sydney McLaughlin of the United States. Lesa Sprunger of Switzerland finished second.
McLaughlin was timed in 54.45 seconds with Sprunger doing a season-best of 54.98, while Salmon finished in 55.20.
