The ‘golden hour’ is like being at Walt Disney World — magical.
The ray of light from the sun, bursting through the clouds at sunrise or sunset is the epitome of the ‘golden hour’; which is all about finding the light.
Taking that ‘gold no-spray-tan’ selfie is like having light radiating off your body almost as if you’re glowing.
It is a specific time described in photography, as the “period of daytime shortly after sunrise or before sunset, during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky”.
The temperature of the light during this time is warm. During the golden hour, the temperature is in the yellow range, which gives the light that coveted, golden hue. If you miss that precious moment though, there are filters on some apps including Snapchat’s own Airy Shadow.
